Welcome to the first week of distance learning at Santiago STEAM Magnet Elementary School! We hope everyone is off to a great start. There’s a lot going on this week, and it’s ok to take a little time to figure everything out. We all get to meet our teachers and classes. Many of us are learning learning how to use online education tools, and working on technology issues. (Take a deep breath. You got this!)
If you still haven’t picked up your school supplies and back-to-school packets, make an APPOINTMENT with the office to pick them up. For safety concerns, there are no unannounced drop by visits. Everyone is very friendly in the office, and they will do their best to help you out
When you have a moment, peruse the PTA website. We have many links to distance education, family counseling or support, community programs, and district resources. Also be sure to check out the Santiago STEAM PTA Facebook page. We have individual groups for each grade level, so you can reach out and connect with families who are going through the school year in the same way. This week we’re encouraging families to post their child’s first day of school picture to get to know each other better.
We’re in this together, and this is just the beginning!
